Fabien DEBAUD

Recently appointed Global R&D Director for Specialty Polyamides, Dr. Fabien DEBAUD has developed a strong experience in the field of initiators and polymers.

After a Ph.D. in Macromolecular Chemistry at the University of Bordeaux (France) on the synthesis of copolymers using living polymerizations, Fabien DEBAUD has joined in 1996 ARKEMA in the R&D Center of King of Prussia (PA) to work on applications of Organic Peroxides such as polymerization and rubber crosslinking.
In 2000, Fabien moved back to France to pursue his career with ARKEMA in Polymers and Organic Peroxides in the Lyon R&D Center as Crosslinking Application Manager, R&D Director for Europe & Asia and finally Global R&D Director for Functional Additives of ARKEMA.
These positions have not only helped Fabien to build a solid expertise in Organic Peroxides, from synthesis to their use, but also have been a unique opportunity to visit our customers around the world and better understand the needs for continuous progresses in the safety, quality and performances of Organic Peroxides which are core for polymer performances.

These years of experience have also contributed to build a solid Global R&D Organization, for which the priority is to “create value for our customers, around the world, by using our knowledge of safely producing and handling organic peroxides chemistry”. In July 2014, Fabien DEBAUD has been appointed Global R&D Director for Specialty Polyamides to pursue de development acceleration of these outstanding polymers, among which the key ones are biosourced.
