Dr. Volker Wagner-Solbach

Dr. Wagner-Solbach studied Chemistry at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich and did his dissertation at the Technical University of Munich. For eight years, he was the founder and managing director of Sanomol, a chemical and trading consultancy. His experience as Business Development Manager includes working with Bayern Innovativ, the Bavarian technology think tank, where he helped Bavaria develop its economic strength. He founded chemistry company C-LAB Chemievermittlung, which he ran successfully for ten years before selling the company. In 2014 Dr. Wagner-Solbach join the AVA Group as Business Development Manager Bio-Based Chemistry. He is an experienced industry expert, with in-depth knowledge of the platform chemical 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural (5-HMF) and its diverse applications.
