Marcel LUBBEN

Marcel Lubben was appointed President at Reverdia on January 1, 2014. Reverdia is the joint venture between Royal DSM and Roquette Frères. The company offers Biosuccinium™, Reverdia’s registered brand of bio-based succinic acid. Reverdia produces and sells Biosuccinium™. Next to that, Reverdia offers licenses to the low pH manufacturing technology for Biosuccinium™..

Marcel joined DSM in 1994. He held several positions in research, business development and marketing & sales in (bio)pharmaceuticals in DSM’s Pharma Chemicals and Biologics units, before being appointed Managing Director Venturing & Licensing for DSM in 2009. In 2012 he transitioned into the industrial biotechnology sector to head the Bio-based Chemicals & Materials activities in DSM’s Bio-based Products & Services unit.

Marcel Lubben holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands.
