FACTORY NAME: Based out of the Haute Borne Science Park (Villeneuve d’Ascq – 59), we have a 2,400 sq.m research center with six technological platforms focused on synthesis, polymerization, plastics processing, analysis, structural characterization and formulation.

Our company is built around a public-private partnership uniting together both academic and industrial partners, which represents a real source of added value. IFMAS has been awarded the energy transition institute (ITE) label in connection with France’s economic stimulus program (PIA). Within this framework, it benefits from a subsidy from the national research agency (ANR).

IFMAS (Institut Français des Matériaux Agro-Sourcés) is a private R&D company set up in 2012, with expertise in biobased chemistry and materials.

COMPANY PRESENTATION:
The Ecole Nationale Supérieure is multidisciplinary in chemistry with a focus on (i) materials, (ii) formulation science and (iii) biomass and environment. It trains 80 engineers a year with a general culture in chemistry. Among these, more than 20% pursue their studies with a PhD. Teaching is strongly linked to research with two CNRS units associated to the school: the Unit of Catalysis and Solid State Chemistry (UMR CNRS 8181) and the Unit of Materials and Transformation (UME CNRS 8207).

The main research projects dealing with biosourced materials and transformation of biomass at Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Lille will be presented with a focus on elaboration of sustainable formulation and polymers.
